    After 8 years as lead pastors, Terence and Jill "flex-retired" on April 14th 2024. We thank them for their ministry to our Church and wish them the best for the future! 


    Terence and Jill aspire to lead a church body that is enthusiastic about bringing the hope and truth of living 100% surrendered to Jesus Christ to the world. Sharing Christ is not just a biblical command, it is their passion.


    In 2016, they started their journey of serving at First, bringing a fresh and unique perspective after living and serving as missionaries in the countries of Russia and Latvia for 25 years. While serving in the former Soviet Union, they traveled thousands of miles and were privileged to plant many new churches, as well as founding a Bible college.


    God has graciously blessed them with two children, who are married with families of their own, and love Jesus. They also have five beautiful grandchildren!


    Terence has a Doctorate of Ministry in Applied Theology. He has been in full-time ministry since 1975 and loves providing practical ways to live out biblical truth. Most of his sermons have a hint of humor (listen here).


    For enjoyment, Terence loves riding the bicycle, and at times has covered over 1,000 miles on two wheels!  Terence and his brother, Thomas, have ridden through Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Alaska on bicycle. That is a lot of pedaling!


    Jill is an ordained minister with an enthusiasm to live with intention for Jesus. She enjoys music, with an ambition to train future worship leaders. She gives private piano lessons and serves as a substitute teacher in the public school system. She also enjoys riding bicycle.

  • Jonathan & Valerie Amsing

    Pastor Jonathan is a French transplant here in Walla Walla! Born and raised in the north of France, he met his wife, Valerie, while attending Bible School in Belgium. They share a passion and calling to reach, teach, and serve all people! Jonathan's desire is to come alongside believers for them to discover their true calling and potential in Christ.


    Valerie started playing the piano when she was six years old and loves to worship the Lord in music. She is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. She also serves in the public school system and loves animals. 


    Jonathan and Valerie have three daughters: Arialee, Chayelle, and Harmonie. They each share and contribute to the Amsing family culture by always looking to discover Christ's hand-print in everything around them and then in turn share it!


    The Amsings moved from Post Falls, Idaho to Walla Walla in September of 2017. After several years in banking management, Jonathan received the invitation to pursue God's calling here at First Assembly. Jonathan is ordained with the Assemblies of God. 


    For fun you will find the Amsing family discovering new hiking trails, engaged in a game of foosball or a board game, participating in community events, or elbows-deep in their garden, often together with friends! In the Amsing family there's always room for one more friend of any age to join in, and we can't wait to meet you!

    Welcome to First Assembly! I'd like to introduce myself to you!


    My name is Rebekah Silva-Osborn and I have the BEST job ever! I can't think of a better way to serve God and his people than to teach kids how to love God, how to know God, and how to serve God! 


    It's safe to say that I love people. People and action. Fast pace is the only pace I know, which is probably why God called me to work with children!


    I am blessed to call First Assembly Walla Walla my church since the tender age of 8. I can still remember my Sunday School and Missionette (girls club in the 80s - I'm dating myself!) teachers and many of my youth leaders! These are the men and women, along with my parents, who taught me to know the Lord, helped me to develop my faith, and to ultimately show my love for Jesus to others.


    It is now my privilege to serve the Lord as the leader over the children's ministry. My desire that each child will come to know the amazing love of God in his/her life and be able to show that love to others. God has given me a passion for teaching young children God's word in a fun and exciting way. Games, crafts, and hands-on bible time teach them God's truth early so that every decision that they make in their life, no matter how small or big, will reflect a biblical worldview. 


    Working with children is one of the best parts of my life and I am so blessed for the opportunity to partner with parents and volunteers to raise up a child in the way they should go! Each child is a work in progress, alive with possibilities! God has a plan for each one and I'm so excited that He has given me a front row seat.

  • Caitlyn Michaels

    Students' Leader

    Caitlyn was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. In Spring of 2019, she followed God's call to come youth pastor at First Assembly of God - Walla Walla. She is very passionate about students and showing them their worth and value through the love of Jesus Christ. During her free time, you can find her on photography adventures, at the humane society or engaging with students.
