OUR TEAM

  • Terence & Jill Hall

     Lead Pastor

Terence and Jill aspire to lead a church body that is enthusiastic about bringing the kindness and compassion of Jesus Christ to the Walla Walla community. Sharing Christ is not just a biblical command, it is their passion.

They bring a fresh and unique perspective to First Assembly after living and serving as missionaries in the countries of Russia and Latvia for 25 years. While serving in the former Soviet Union, they traveled thousands of miles and were privileged to plant many new churches, as well as founding a Bible college.

God has graciously blessed them with two children, who are married with families of their own, and love Jesus. They also have four beautiful grandchildren!

Terence has a Doctorate of Ministry in Applied Theology. He has been in full-time ministry since 1975 and loves providing practical ways to live out biblical truth. Most of his sermons have a hint of humor (listen here).

For enjoyment, Terence loves long distance bicycle rides, at times covering over 1,000 miles (across Alaska). Over the years, Terence and his oldest brother, Thomas, have covered Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and as mentioned, Alaska on a bicycle. That is a lot of pedaling!

Jill is an ordained minister with an enthusiasm to live with intention for Jesus. She enjoys music, cooking, and spending time with her grand kids!

  • Jonathan & Valerie Amsing

    Administrative Pastor

Pastor Jonathan is a French transplant here in Walla Walla! Born and raised in the north of France, he met his now wife, Valerie, while attending Bible School in Belgium. They share a passion and calling to reach, teach, and serve all people! Jonathan's desire is to come alongside believers for them to discover their true calling and potential in Christ.

Jonathan and Valerie have three daughters: Arialee, Chayelle, and Harmonie who share and contribute to the Amsing family culture by always looking to discover Christ's hand-print in everything around them and then in turn share it!

The Amsings moved from Post Falls, Idaho to Walla Walla in September 2017. After several years in banking management, Jonathan received the invitation to pursue God's calling here at First Assembly. Jonathan is in the process of receiving Ordination with the Assemblies of God.

For fun you will find the Amsing family discovering new hiking trails, engaged in a game of foosball or a board game, participating in community events, or elbows-deep in their garden, often together with friends! In the Amsing family there's always room for one more friend of any age to join in, and we can't wait to meet you!

Our family verse is: Isaiah 55

  • Brent & Nicole Sears

Brent was born and raised in the Walla Walla/Milton-Freewater area. He came to know God in his local youth group when he was 15 .

That's where he met his wife Nicole, of 10 years. Brent has been involved in youth ministry since he was 18.

Brent's passion for his youth ministry is to see students fall in love with Jesus and see them share the love of Jesus with others.

Brent enjoys outdoor activities and watching sports. He loves spending time with family and friends. He has a daughter Emma, who is 6, and a son, Zion.

  • Rebekah Silva-Osborn

    Children's Pastor

Welcome to First Assembly! I'd like to introduce myself to you!

My name is Rebekah Silva-Osborn and I'm the children's pastor. I've been married to my wonderful husband, Jason, for 21 years, and we have two amazing daughters, Malyn and Mya. Our family  wouldn't be complete without the family dogs, Paisley and Hope, and our large furry cat, Grelly.

It's safe to say that I love people. People and action. Fast pace is the only pace I know, which is probably why God called me to work with children!

I am blessed to call First Assembly of God my church since the tender age of 8. I can still remember my Sunday School and Missionette (girls club in the 80s - I'm dating myself!) teachers and many of my youth leaders! These are the men and women, along with my parents, who taught me to know the Lord, helped me to develop my faith, and to ultimately show my love for Jesus to others.

It is now my privilege to serve the Lord as the leader over the children's ministry. My desire that each child will come to know the amazing love of God in his/her life and be able to show that love to others. God has given me a passion for teaching young children God's word in a fun and exciting way. Games, crafts, and hands-on bible time teach them God's truth early so that every decision that they make in their life, no matter how small or big, will reflect a biblical worldview.

Working with children is one of the best parts of my life and I am so blessed for the opportunity to partner with parents and volunteers to raise up a child in the way they should go! Each child is a work in progress, alive with possibilities! God has a plan for each one and I'm so excited that He has given me a front row seat.

  • Steve Pitzer

    Worship Leader/Teaching/Preaching  Pastor

Steve and Kelli Pitzer met at Northwest College in the beautiful city of Kirkland, Washington. They were married in the fall of 1998 and accepted their first pastoral ministry position in Clackamas, Oregon. In August of 2000, they received an invitation to serve as the youth and worship pastors here at First Assembly. After a season of time, he pursued a degree in counseling to serve in the public school system.

Steve has a B.A. in Pastoral Ministries and is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. He also holds a Masters of Education in school counseling. Steve enjoys leading worship and communicating the truth of God’s Word in a way that is practical and applicable to every day life. Kelli is leading First Ladies for our church and has a desire to connect women of different walks of faith and help them grow in their relationship with Christ and others.

Steve and Kelli are blessed with three children: Kayla, Katelyn, and Drew. His passion is spending time with his family as well as in the great outdoors. In his spare time, you will most likely find him with a fly rod in hand or sitting in his tree stand! He thought a picture of his amazing wife might be better than the 12lb. trout hanging on his wall…..Kelli agreed!!
